This morning I had the pleasure of taking part in the first Tai Chi class held at Studio 53 in The Courtyard by the Tai Chi Instructor Renae Covey.
I was so excited as I have wanted to learn this form of exercise for Health, Body and Mind for quite some time but was never able to find the time or find a class that was easy to reach.
So imagine my delight when Renae approached us at Studio 53 wanting to bring Tai Chi for Health into the light-filled and airy space of The Courtyard.
Today was the start and it was so exciting to see so many new faces in our studio under the gentle and encouraging guidance of Renae.
It was a wonderful feeling to take time for myself and to concentrate on my breathing combined with the gentle moves of Tai Chi that all have special names ie. The Wild Goose, The Lotus or Five Elements of Qui Gong.
I know that I have only taken the first steps on this new exercise journey of gaining strength and building the natural energy and physical appearance of my body but I am happy to say I am not alone. The energy in the room emanating from the many participants was stimulating to say the least and I left the class today standing taller and feeling quite relaxed but somehow a little stronger. I can’t wait for next week!
If you are looking to find a gentle way of exercising your way to a calmer, more energised and healthier you….perhaps Tai Chi for Health is the way to go.
