DESCRIPTION:DUE TO GOVERNMENT DIRECTIVES IN RESPONSE TO COVID 19   \nTHIS WORKSHOP WILL BE BEING POSTPONED INDEFINITELY. \n \nSaturday March 28th & Sunday March 29th – 12:30pm – 5:45pm\nBy much demand\, Brisbane-based youth contemporary company “RB Corp. Instruction” is coming to Mackay! \nOver two full days\, dancers will be guided through contemporary foundations and undergo choreographic tasks with Artistic Director Riley Baldwin to unleash and enhance their technical and creative abilities. \nThis exclusive experience is suitable for dancers aged 9+. Further information will follow closer to the event upon registration. \n\nArtistic Director\nRiley Baldwin\nOriginating from Bundaberg\, Riley commenced his full-time studies at the Australian Dance Performance Institute in 2009 before successfully auditioning for the New Zealand School of Dance in 2010 where he majored in contemporary dance. \nDuring his time in Wellington\, Riley performed works by Rafael Bonachela\, Garry Stewart and Antony Hamilton as part of the School’s annual Graduation Seasons and received guest tutorage from industry professionals such as Richard Cilli\, Craig Bary\, Sarah Foster-Sproull and Lina Limosani\, whom he worked with professionally in 2014. \nSince graduating in 2013\, Riley now embarks on his choreographic pursuit by continuously aspiring to develop\, nurture and shape his own unique form of movement through his coaching and choreographic endeavours. \nIn 2015\, he emphasised this desire by forming Riley Baldwin Youth Projects\, before relocating to Brisbane to intensify it. In 2018\, RB Corp. Instruction surfaced as a way to further fortify his devotion to the craft and creation of contemporary dance and to encourage the importance of innovation through upcoming generations. In 2019\, RBCI will debut its first original work in Brisbane\, entitled “The Hive”. \nRiley currently resides at Classical Coaching Australia while continuing to freelance on a very selective basis. He has also been invited to coach at numerous workshops and intensives\, and is entrusted to coach students for the Prix de Lausanne — the world’s most prestigious international ballet competition held annually in Switzerland.

DESCRIPTION:OPEN CALL : \nCalling All MALE and FEMALE Dancers AGED 14 years – 19 years  \n(13yrs turning 14yrs in 2020 is acceptable) \nSearching for Contemporary & Classical\, passionate and dedicated dancers to join the New Performance Company based here in Mackay.  Beginning rehearsals February 23rd. \nAll rehearsals will be scheduled over the weekends. \nRequirements- \nMALE and FEMALE Contemporary and Classical trained dancers with an intermediate to advanced level of Classical Ballet training. \nAdvanced level of pointe work is a plus. \nExperience in any Pas de deux classical or contemporary is also a plus. \n  \nClassical & Contemporary Audition Workshop (All dancers) \n• 10am-11:30am \nPointe Work Audition (ADV pointe dancers) \n• 11:30-12:00pm \nAudition Fee= $15 each dancer. The company will be focusing on each company member individually\, allowing each to showcase and excel in their own personal unique style. \nThe Company goal is to give each performer experience and exposure to the professional Dance industry\, not only in Australia but also connecting to a platform overseas. We will be expanding our company platform and touring after Season 1 is complete\, working with Guest choreographers and participating in preprofessional workshops and classes throughout QLD and NSW representing the Company. \nThe duration of the Company Season works will be a maximum of 15 weeks\, showcasing the Company work in the last week of each season.

SUMMARY:WORKSHOP : Comdance - Teaching of the Exam Dances
DESCRIPTION:This workshop is a Teaching of the Exam Dances to give the students and teachers a Head Start learning their requirements for their examinations in May.\n\n\nThe fabulous Jason Winters is coming to teach his dances for the Contemporary Levels as well as giving the Level 6 Teachers Certificate students an indication as to what is required for this level.  The Mackay students will be the first in Australia to complete this examination.\n\n\nSandra Breen OAM and Janine Tirant – creators of our fabulous new Tap Syllabus are coming to teach the dances for the Tap Grades and as always we will have the teachers trained by Rachelle Conroy – the co- creator of the Modern Jazz Syllabus – coming to teach the dances for Modern Jazz\n\nSaturday February 8th\n12:00pm – 4:30pm\n\nSunday February 9th\n8:00am – 5:30pm
