DESCRIPTION:** PLEASE NOTE THE REVISED DATES ** \nAll participants will need to follow all Covid-19 protocols as set out by Studio 53 Mackay.  These will be advised by the co-ordinator of the workshop. \n \nInternational Dance Affair is again delighted to welcome Heidi Landford of Prudence Bowen Atelier to work with the Ballet students in Mackay.  We have been extremely fortunate to have Heidi in Mackay the last five years and we are excited that she has once again accepted our invitation to return. Heidi has a beautiful way with the dancers and everyone who has previously attended her workshops have greatly benefited from her expertise. \nHeidi will be taking a graded examination workshop for Primary through to Advanced 2 on Friday 12th\, Saturday 13th & Sunday 14th June\, 2020. \n  \nHeidi Landford trained full-time under Prudence Bowen\, a Royal Academy of Dance examiner. During this time Heidi was a semi-finalist in the 2008 Genee International Ballet Competition\, runner-up in three consecutive Royal Academy of Dance Scholarships and the recipient of several bursary’s and awards from eisteddfods in Brisbane and on the Gold Coast. Heidi also completed all of her RAD examinations with distinction and finished her Solo Seal in 2009.  \nSince 2007\, Heidi was trained as a teacher by Prudence Bowen to compliment her ballet studies. In 2010\, she joined Atelier as a full-time member of staff. Since then her students have been finalists in the McDonald’s Ballet Scholarship\, finalists and scholarship recipients in the Alana Haines Australasian Awards and have won the RAD Advanced 1 Bursary\, RAD Scholarships and have been finalists in the Genee International Ballet Competition. Now the director of Prudence Bowen Atelier\, Heidi takes all levels of classes up to and including the professional year and many of Heidi’s students have been awarded 100% in their RAD exams. Heidi’s choreography has also won the Choreographic Award at the Genee International Ballet Competition.    \n  \nTimetable and prices per student are listed below.  Class spaces are limited.  To avoid disappointment please complete the attached studio registration form and make payment ASAP.  Teachers only to submit student registration form. \nALL REGISTRATION FORMS AND PAYMENTS TO BE DONE AS A GROUP/STUDIO.  TEACHERS ONLY TO SUBMIT REGISTRATIONS.

DESCRIPTION:DUE TO GOVERNMENT DIRECTIVES IN RESPONSE TO COVID 19   \nTHIS WORKSHOP WILL BE BEING POSTPONED INDEFINITELY. \n\nSOLD OUT EVENT \nClass with Claudia in Studio will be held at Studio 53 in Mackay. \nClaudia will be teaching a 4-day workshop for Intermediate/ Senior dancers ages 10-20. \nClass with Claudia in Studio Intensives are designed and structured around Claudia’s well known ‘Private Coaching’ to achieve results. This format is used throughout the Intensives. Four full days of classes from 9 am- 3 pm each day allows Claudia to give every dancer the tools to master their technique in classical ballet on a personal level. This is done through innovative exercises\, skill changing corrections and Claudia’s well known positive energy that she brings to the studio. Class with Claudia is perfect for any ballet dancer that needs to take their skills and training to the next level.

Instruction” is coming to Mackay! \nOver two full days\, dancers will be guided through contemporary foundations and undergo choreographic tasks with Artistic Director Riley Baldwin to unleash and enhance their technical and creative abilities. \nThis exclusive experience is suitable for dancers aged 9+. Further information will follow closer to the event upon registration. \n\nArtistic Director\nRiley Baldwin\nOriginating from Bundaberg\, Riley commenced his full-time studies at the Australian Dance Performance Institute in 2009 before successfully auditioning for the New Zealand School of Dance in 2010 where he majored in contemporary dance. \nDuring his time in Wellington\, Riley performed works by Rafael Bonachela\, Garry Stewart and Antony Hamilton as part of the School’s annual Graduation Seasons and received guest tutorage from industry professionals such as Richard Cilli\, Craig Bary\, Sarah Foster-Sproull and Lina Limosani\, whom he worked with professionally in 2014. \nSince graduating in 2013\, Riley now embarks on his choreographic pursuit by continuously aspiring to develop\, nurture and shape his own unique form of movement through his coaching and choreographic endeavours. \nIn 2015\, he emphasised this desire by forming Riley Baldwin Youth Projects\, before relocating to Brisbane to intensify it. In 2018\, RB Corp. Instruction surfaced as a way to further fortify his devotion to the craft and creation of contemporary dance and to encourage the importance of innovation through upcoming generations. In 2019\, RBCI will debut its first original work in Brisbane\, entitled “The Hive”. \nRiley currently resides at Classical Coaching Australia while continuing to freelance on a very selective basis. He has also been invited to coach at numerous workshops and intensives\, and is entrusted to coach students for the Prix de Lausanne — the world’s most prestigious international ballet competition held annually in Switzerland.

SUMMARY:WORKSHOP : Comdance - Teaching of the Exam Dances
DESCRIPTION:This workshop is a Teaching of the Exam Dances to give the students and teachers a Head Start learning their requirements for their examinations in May.\n\n\nThe fabulous Jason Winters is coming to teach his dances for the Contemporary Levels as well as giving the Level 6 Teachers Certificate students an indication as to what is required for this level.  The Mackay students will be the first in Australia to complete this examination.\n\n\nSandra Breen OAM and Janine Tirant – creators of our fabulous new Tap Syllabus are coming to teach the dances for the Tap Grades and as always we will have the teachers trained by Rachelle Conroy – the co- creator of the Modern Jazz Syllabus – coming to teach the dances for Modern Jazz\n\nSaturday February 8th\n12:00pm – 4:30pm\n\nSunday February 9th\n8:00am – 5:30pm
