***PLEASE NOTE REVISED DATE OF APRIL 4TH-6TH***

Harvest Rain, producers of national touring Arena Spectaculars including CATS, HAIRSPRAY & GREASE, are bringing an exclusive Performer’s Workshop to Mackay this April school holidays, featuring a host of Australian theatre industry professionals.

This exclusive workshop will put young and aspiring performers in a room with some of Australia’s most experienced and respected theatre makers, including director and performer Lauren McKenna (HEATHERS, HAIRSPRAY, GREASE – THE ARENA EXPERIENCE), Music Director Dennett Hudson (LEGALLY BLONDE, HAIRSPRAY, GREASE – THE ARENA EXPERIENCE) and more.  During this exciting workshop, participants will hone their singing, dancing and acting skills in a fun, safe and supportive environment, while learning invaluable knowledge about the Australian musical theatre industry.

At the end of the workshop, participants will take part in an informal performance showcase hosted by Harvest Rain CEO and Artistic Director, Tim O’Connor – a great opportunity for participants to be seen by the people who make musical theatre happen in Australia. Parents will be invited to attend this informal showcase.

“We love helping young performers develop their creativity, build their confidence and pursue their passion,” says Tim O’Connor. “Our experience in producing professional musical theatre gives us the ability to pass on skills that will help participants on the way to a career in the arts, while at the same time building personal confidence, resilience and self-esteem.”

The students benefit not only from the high-quality training and the inspiring and supportive community, but also by being associated with Harvest Rain, a professional musical theatre company that regularly produces large scale professional productions that tour the country.

Due to the nature of the workshop, numbers are strictly limited – so register online today!

The Harvest Rain Performer’s Workshop will take place from 4th – 6th April 2018 at Studio 53 in Mackay.
